Our goal is not to replicate the home experience for abandoned rabbits, but to provide the best shelter care possible, while seeking to improve the overall quality of life for domestic rabbits and reducing the load on other rescue groups in our community and beyond.
We recognize and respect the importance of the relationship between humans and animals. In that regard, we go to great lengths to support and encourage that bond with education and humane counselling.
The problem of the dispossessed domestic rabbit is a manmade one requiring a manmade solution. The number of manhours spent on this solution, in our shelter alone, exceeds 10 000 in a given year. We need our communities to understand the dilemma and to see these animals in a different light.
