SURRENDERING PROCESS
There is 1 form with 2 parts that must be filled out when surrendering a rabbit. (This is required even if the rabbit you are bringing in is in fact a rescue and not your own pet.) The first is a statement that relinquishes all and any future claims you may have towards the rabbit. The second is a Profile that helps us to better care for and keep track of the rabbit. In the case of a rescued rabbit, it may not be possible to provide much information for the Profile. We simply ask that you provide as much information as you can.
Each animal is assigned a unique ID number and a photo ID tag. The profile will be posted on the website shortly after an intake assessment to ensure the rabbit is ready for adoption. Animals can be viewed during regular hours or by appointment. We welcome email requests if you are interested in updates.
Please note that while pet surrenders require an appropriate donation, genuine rescues do not, but are only accepted if sponsorship can be secured. Situations are decided on a case-by-case basis.
